This year we celebrate the 18th anniversary of the Latin American Festival, an event which continues to be one of Charlotte’s signature cultural events, attracting thousands of individuals from our multicultural community. Every year the Festival features nationally and internationally known musicians and features the talents of local musicians and dancers.
Live Musical Performances!
Every year the Festival features nationally and internationally known musicians and promotes local musical talent. Latin Rock, Salsa, Pop, and Traditional music are just a few of the diverse sounds featured on the Festival’s main stage.

Traditional Folkloric Dances!
The Festival’s cultural stage features dramatic, beautiful and lighthearted dance presentations from more than 20 Latin American countries. Each traditional dance has its own incredible costumes and fascinating history weaving visual tales from Spain, Central and South America.
The Latin American Festival’s children’s area, sponsored by McDonalds and presented by the Blumenthal Center for Performing Arts and the Mint Museums, features hands-on children’s arts and crafts, family games, as well as musical and dance performances on the Children’s stage.
This year the Latin American Festival is moving to a new location. We are excited to be hosting our 18th annual festival at Symphony Park in South Park, in Charlotte, NC on Sunday, October 12, 2008 (rain or shine) from 12:00 noon until 7:00 pm.
